Finding Her Place In The Beauty World

I’d rather inspire than impress. ✨

Growing up I never really felt like I fit in anywhere. Sadly part of this was rooted in my looks. Being a tall curvy girl of mixed ethnicities I never was able to fall into a group that I ever felt fully accepted in.

This was hard growing up in the early 2000s when body positivity was non existent & stereotypes were not as heavily shamed.

I never really felt like I belonged anywhere until I went to Cosmo school.

For me, it was like going to Hogwarts. Mostly everyone was there because they were either passionate, artistic or just wanting to learn the craft.

However entering the Beauty Industry professionally sort of felt like a popularity contest all over again. It wasn’t until I started building my own brand that I felt a true sense of belonging.

That’s because Beauty Made with Love is about a lifelong journey of learning to love and accept yourself for who you are.

How could I hold space and create an environment for others I wasn’t willing to offer to myself?

Besides being an artist, providing hair services was a way for me to break my own curses.

Every girl, woman, no matter her shape, size, color or current circumstance, deserves to feel beautiful & celebrated for who she is.

I will always save a seat for HER.

Love, the “unpopular girl”.
The one who will never fit into any of society’s boxes,

RAE
